Radio presenter, Comedian and artist, Messe Bontwe, was the guest speaker on Dembe FM's Talk N Talk show this Saturday. He talked about how all these top artistes ought to accord him some respect as he literally opened the way for them.
Messe (the local word for a rat) talked of how he traveled with Bebe Cool to Kenya while going for his Japan visa application, he left Bebe Cool in his room that he had booked for two weeks. It’s from there that Bebe Cool started his music journey. Messe is behind the Bamusakata song that they did together with former Lord Mayor Candidate and singer, Dan Kazibwe aka Ragga Dee.
Messe was the first to do Ragga Dance hall, in fact, he advised all these top artistes to embrace the genre in Luganda if they were to eke a living out of music, it later did magic as seen from the then hit, Sirika Wo Baby.
Messe let out so much info that could otherwise not be in the public domain, but thanks to the Talk N Talk show host, Issac Katende aka Kasuku and his fellow show hosts, Eddy Sendi, Batt Badru and Jenkins Mukasa. Messe had so much info that two hours was not enough, you can be sure, he will be brought back to the same show sooner rather than later.
Among the biggest secrets that Messe revealed was how Chameleone’s first lover, Dorotia, the mother of his eldest daughter was dating Ragga Dee before hooking up with the Bayuda singer, small world it is!
