Bobi Wine being interviewed by Sheila Nduhikire

Honorable Kyagulanyi responds to Bebe Cool

Bobi Wine is the in thing right now. Radio and TV stations, blogs, newspapers and social media platforms are all trending with Bobi Wine who amazed everyone including rivals in his Kyadondo East landslide victory. The ruling party, NRM, was equally impressed now that they were able to beat the main opposition party, FDC in an area where the former party leader Dr. Kizza Besigye hails from.

While appearing on NTV's Talk of the Nation, news anchor Sheila Nduhukire had a few questions for Hon. Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.

How do you feel? she asked! Bobi posed the same question, You how do you feel? but then, he went on to answer her.

"It's exciting, I expected it...but I was like did they understand me, did I communicate well, but after the election, I realized they had understood me."

When did you decide to join politics?

I grew up in an era of bad politics and hoped things would change, so I realized if I want change, then I have to be the change. However, I woke up after the 2016 elections.

Aren't you an opportunist, many had hoped you would leave Hon. Apollo Katinti to complete his term and then you come in 2021?

If anybody is calling me an opportunist, then, I would call out to any one out there who thinks like me to stand for their rights, It's my right to stand for any political post. I don't belong to any party much as I was born in DP and personally, I'm friends with Dr. Kizza Besigye.

With your new responsibility are you going to drop the bad habits?

There is a Bobi Wine and Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi who you are talking to right now. Do you want to talk to Bobi Wine?[laughs], but I'm not here to represent my life in the past and everyone has their past. I was born in Kamwokya, I met Barbie and we have children, I believe that shows a different Bobi Wine from the past.

Bebe Cool thinks you are in this for the money

Why Bebe Cool, but now that you've talked about him, I will respond. Not everybody thinks the way I think...Bebe Cool is my old comrade, but we do not grow at the same pace. I learn new things and I'm proud of what I am today. I'm not a politician because that word does not describe me, I'm a leader...Me and Bebe see things in a different way. I'm not in this for the money, I made enough money before I went into politics.

Earlier on, Bebe Cool was appearing on a Kenyan television, he was asked if he could consider joining politics and this was his response; "No my father did, but not me. I don't like politics, I like being rich and I don't think politicians can be rich."

This comment attracted wild cheers from the Sauti Sol group, they were attending the same interview.
