The First Lady Janet Museveni has forgiven Dr. Stella Nyanzi after a facebook post that went viral.
In the post, Nyanzi disagrees with the Minister for Education when she said that parents should limit the use of boda boda motor-cycles when taking their children to school.
In a strongly worded post, Stella called the First Lady names in her usual style of writing saying she was detached from reality. In an exclusive interview with NTV Uganda, the First Lady wondered what is it she had done to warrant that sort of outburst and tone from Stella Nyanzi.
"I have received reports about Dr Stella Nyanzi insulting me. I don't know what wrong I committed to deserve that kind of language and abuse. However, I want to tell Ugandans that I forgive her," Janet Kataha Museveni said.
"I reject her forgiveness, did I seek for it? Does she think she is a Roman Catholic Priest?
No. They have violated too long and too much. How dare she forgives me after they foiled my earnings, and banned my foreign travel?"
"Before you forgive me, forgive yourself. I am a 'Nalongo' of the big wide V...... You can never forgive me, I reject the forgiveness."
The first time Stella attacked the First Lady was when she said that the government did not have enough funds to cater for sanitary pads for girls in school and yet this was one of the pledges the President had made while campaigning.
Stella was summoned by CID over that post and days later, she was set to travel to the Netherlands but was stopped while checking in.
Stella bounced back with even a worse off post than the earlier one and forgiving her has even made matters worse, the lyricist has engaged a top gear.
