It's still early as results from the 27,430 polling stations are still being transmitted. President Museveni cast his vote from Kiruhura district while his closest rival, Dr. Kizza Besigye cast his from Rukungiri and dashed back to Kampala to monitor the progress.
The FDC candidate stormed a house in Naguru with the Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago together with their supporters but security was quick to intervene and just like they did during the campaigns, he was escorted to his home in Kasangati.
Some polling stations are voting today having not done so yesterday, but these are very few; GABA SS, Gaba TC Gabiro, Kasanga God Cares, St Henry SS play ground, Wakiso Kyebando Parish among others.
Results are to be declared 48 hours from the hour of closure so by 20.Feb.2016, Saturday 4:00pm, the EC Chairman, Dr. Badru Kiggundu is confident that by then, they would have dealt with the closing tally.
